Mahogany Ensemble Theatre


Mahogany Ensemble Theatre (MET), resident theatre of the M.E.C.C.A. Foundation, provides touring mainstage, children's and dinner theatre experiences. Available for bookings throughout the year, MET offers a diverse repertoire of productions. MET is available for residencies that include master classes, educational workshops, children and senior citizen outreach matinees, talk-back sessions and full evening performances.
Under the leadership of its Founding Artistic Director, Angelique Feaster, Mahogany Ensemble Theatre's mission is to enlighten, engage, and empower communities through quality theatrical productions of the African American experience, while exploring the common ground of humanity.
MET travels with Actors, Technical Staff, and Founding Artistic Director.
Current repertoire includes: The Madam C.J. Walker Story, The Drum, CROWNS, Steal Away, For Colored Girls Who Have Considered Suicide, and God's Trombones. select productions available pending rights availability
Past notable performances include: Claiborne Jubilee, Cultural Crossroads of Minden, Mississippi Valley State University, National Baptist Convention of America, North Central Louisiana Arts Council, and Wiley College.
